My husband and I love our new home built by Arjay Builders. From owners to employees, everyone is beyond respectful and exercises great care with their words with careful consideration of people's feelings, always maintaining a calm and even demeanor. No e-mail or phone call goes unanswered. They go beyond any measure in being gracious by taking their time to answer all questions and give advice. All of their subcontractors and supervisors are extremely helpful and patient. If you are faced with changes, delays, or unexpected obstacles, these are the folks you want in your corner. When I look around our home, every corner, wall, ceiling detail, and the room has a story to tell, making our house a work of art. John spent countless hours fine-tuning my ideas and designs while teaching me the ins and outs of the building process. Arjay constructed our custom home in 2018/19. Overall the experience was excellent and we are very happy with the end result. Having worked with many builders over the years in residential and commercial construction, the level of service and quality provided by Arjay stands far above the rest. I don't know where to begin when it comes to the great experience my wife and I had working with Arjay Builders. We have several friends who had built custom houses with other builders in Omaha and most of them did not have positive experiences. That's not completely fair, what I mean is there were more negatives than positives. I am not exaggerating when I say there was not one negative experience working with John Shramek and his excellent staff at Arjay Builders. Building a home requires a temporary, but very close relationship with a group of strangers, who you have to entrust with a large sum of money and the greatest asset most people will ever own. Our relationship with Arjay felt personal, not professional. The patience exuded from John and his staff dealing with first-time home builders was greatly appreciated. They met several times to work on every detailed aspect of the design. We changed lots a couple of times and they never rushed us to start building. After we selected Arjay as our builder, we heard from several sources that they are one of the most respected builders in the area, and I can attest to that praise. The house is beautiful, the layout is perfect, the view is immaculate and we couldn't be happier with the place we get to call home everyday. Lastly, the way Arjay Builders treated us long after we moved into our new home is a true testament to the character John brings to his company. We had an issue with our refrigerator that took several weeks to clear up with the manufacturer. Under no legal obligation and with no help from the distributor, John and his staff came over and uninstalled the fridge for us so that service technicians could resolve the problem, not once, but twice. ArJay reworked a wall and added shelving and a fireplace to the recreational room in our home that they previously built. The workmanship was beautiful, especially the tile on the fireplace. In addition, they were exceptionally respectful of the surroundings. Jeff, who served as the foreman, was on site every day and did an exceptional job overseeing the various trades who were involved. He is also a really nice guy and worked well with my wife. And, of course, Colin was our 'go to' guy from the estimate to the final punch list.
